Projekt til påvisning af methanemission
The primary objective of the project is to address the pressing issue of methane emissions in the biogas sector by developing and implementing an innovative methane detection drone and measurement system. The overarching goal is to reduce methane emissions from biogas production to just 1%, aligning with industry targets in Denmark and contributing significantly to greenhouse gas mitigation and broader climate objectives.

To achieve this, the project will leverage drone technology combined with various measuring equipment such as spectrometers, electrochemical cells, and infrared cameras. The overarching goal is to reduce methane emissions from biogas production to just 1%, aligning with industry targets in Denmark and contributing significantly to greenhouse gas mitigation and broader climate objectives.
To address this critical challenge, the project has assembled a consortium of key stakeholders led by MoniThor, an innovative SME specializing in gas measurements and drone technology. The consortium also includes Nordic Green Engineering, a consulting firm with expertise in the biogas sector; NORTH-TEC, a biogas plant constructor; Ny Rybjerggaard, an end user representative from the biogas sector; and Biogas Denmark, an industry association.
