Danish representation in IEA's Task 38 'Greenhouse gas balances of biomass and bioenergy systems' 2006
Analyse the country-level, regional and global potential of bioenergy, forestation and other biomass based mitigation strategies, including implications for the atmospheric CO2 concentration and radiative forcing.
Soil Carbon sampling and monitoring, assessment of above and below ground biomass, biomass growth and yield modelling, management regimes for maximising sequestration / biomass production, sustainability issues and EIA scoping, harvesting of biomass, integrated harvesting in connection with commercial timber felling, chipping, optimal supply chain modelling, machine systems configurations, biomass storage including form and place, health and safety issues related to biomass supply, development of full supply cost curves including spatial analysis, composite calorific value calculations for multi-specie / multi source biomass, biomass measurement /sampling / trade, combustion issues, liquid biofuel production, ash enrichment, granulation and recycling. On behalf of the CDM (Clean Development Mechanism)/ JI (Joint Implementation) Executive Board - review methodology proposals
