Development of refrigeration plant utilizing air as refrigerant

Development of refrigeration plants utilizing air refrigerant is the aim of the project. Development of both heat exchangers with water seperation (possibly ice) and a noise reduction system (active/passive) is included in the project as well.

Project description

Further measurements will be carried out in a test plant. An analysis of the efficiency of new-developed compressors and expanders will be carried out. This analysis will together with estimation of the market identify various application areas and general potential of the systems, respectively. So far 3-4 very promising areas have been identified, i.e.: Freezing plants (below - 40 deg. C) ventilation systems with heat recovery, drying and separation systems and possibly, drying of pressure air
