Representation in IEA Bioenergy Agreement, Biomass Combustion 1998-2000
The project has included the Danish Representation during the period 1998-2000 in the Technical Committee for Biomass Utilisation, Biomass Combustion Activity referring to the IEA Bioenergy Agreement.
The project includes the required activities in 1998-2000 as Danish representative in the IEA Bioenergy Agreement, Task XIII, Combustion of Biomass (primarily wood). The Biomass Combustion activities in the new triannum follows past programmes within similar scope of work. In the new programme 11-12 countries will participating. This settles the Biomass Combustion group as the largest in the IEA Bioenergy Agreement. Due to a task proposal from the activity leader - Biomass Combustion Activity Task Proposal 1998-2000 - the emphasis of the future work will be within the areas: 1) Market introduction of biomass combustion technologies. 2) Optimization of biomass combustion technology in the subactivities: a) Biomass combustion fundamentals. b) Developments in biomass combustion technology. c) fuel properties. Both industrial and domestic use of biomass combustion technologies will be covered
The scope of the work emphasises the expanded use of biomass combustion for heat and power production. Results for the co-operation have regularly been disseminated to a broad group of Danish professionals with specific interest in Bioenergy utilisation
