Project description

The project will support the Danish participation and leadership in the IEA Experts Group on R&D Priority Setting and Evaluation and provide an international arena for Danish stakeholders' collaboration and knowledge sharing on strategic energy technologies, RD&D strategies and programmes and evaluation of RD&D activities. The Experts Group was created in 1994 to promote development and refinement of methodological and analytical approaches to strategic energy technology analysis; to R&D priority setting; and to assessment of benefits from R&D activities. The capacity to apply sound tools in developing effective national R&D strategies and programmes is becoming increasingly important. Senior experts from 19 countries and the EU engaged in national and international RD&D efforts collaborate on current issues through international workshops, information exchange networking and outreach. The results and recommendations support R&D managers at different levels - industry, national and international levels - on information, knowledge sharing and good practises on design, implementation and evaluation of R&D efforts in general. Further, results support CERT, feed into IEA analysis, and provide a global perspective on national RD&D efforts

The results and recommendations has supported R&D  operators on different levels and sectors – industry, national and international level – through information, knowledge exchange and good practical examples of design, implementation and evaluation of R&D in general. Furthermore will the results from CERT, be included in an IEA analysis and contribute to a global perspective on national R&D activities.

The work has been centered about too annually too day workshops, followed by an ExCo meeting.

The Danish participation has ensured:

  • Communication between Danish stakeholder, especially The Danish Energy Agency/EUDP, energinet.dk and the energy sector concerning relevant topics that may be included in the work schedule
