EnergyFlexHouse family: Smart energy services to low-energy houses based on user-driven innovation
In collaboration with test families, that lives in the experimental low-energy house EnergyFlexHouse, a concept is developed for control of all energy services for the lowest possible energy consumption. Under practical tests alternative control opportunities are tested and evaluated against the users judgment of the delivered energy services and the interface of the concept. (Energi 10)
The optimal control is characterised by that at once considerates user demands and results in a changed user behavior that the control adapts. The project shows that one major barrier is to get different products to communicate and the problem is based on technical issues and responsibility for the operating system. A developed prototype for advanced control has been tested by a family in the EnergyFlexHouse.
The project has shown that it is crucial that the energy consumption in a low-energy house the indoor climate is controlled exactly the same as the demands for the indoor climate is achieved. Intelligent control gives the users certain degree of freedom and it is important for the energy saving potential is reached in low-energy buildings.
