The Danish Technological Institute developed a prototype for a more energy-efficient HVAC system. The new regulation technology has been implemented in an Exhausto ventilation aggregate located in a lab at the Danish Technological Institute. Similarly, the regulation model was applied theoretically on a ventilation system in a cafeteria, which has an energy-efficient pump. Still, the project group calculated that the new regulation strategy with an operating time of 56% annually will reduce electricity consumption from 843 kWh/year to 251 kWh, corresponding to a saving of 70%. A PhD study at AAU will optimise the new system.
