The project group measured various conventional and innovative system solutions for heat pump systems to be able to suggest initiatives aimed at increasing system quality and improve the endusers’ decision basis. The study found so significant errors and defects in both individual components in aggregates and the installation that it justifies a quality labelling scheme to make it easier for consumers to choose the right system. This scheme may pave the way for more widespread use of heat pumps that are both financially and economically profitable when converting from oil burners and direct electric heating.
