Offshore wind turbines at new depths

An expansive network of knowhow will prepare Danish wind turbine industry for an expanding market for wind turbines on large water depths.
Results
Using the oil industry's ''jacket concept'' to integrate the turbine foundation, the strategic objective of the project is to develop an offshore wind turbine product that will facilitate cost-effecent installation of offshore wind farms at depths of 40-70 meters, depths where the majority of the future 150 GW wind turbines in Europe will be placed in the longer term.
