Speeding up the discovery of oil incidents

Detecting where the oil is located after oil disasters at sea can be difficult. Use of Sonar technology could be the solution.
Project description

The project will result in new and ground-breaking sonar technology in an efficient detection method to outline oil in teh water column. The method will be tested on a model of oil polluted seawater at CERE (DTU Chemical Engineering) and is intended to speed up the oil spill identification process to make oil recovery from great depths in exposed sea areas more safe.
