Marina power distribution hub with smart grid functionality

Pilot project will analyse the need for and potential of a marina power distribution hub with smart-grid functionality for the expected increasing share of electrical tour- and pleasure boats in Denmark. Optimal architecture will be investigated and basic hub installation established in order to support the future development and to communicate the potential of the local ambitions to motivate a change towards a more sustainable and CO2 neutral boating on lakes and rivers

In order to utilize the resources in an operational and efficient way, the pilot project will be divided in 4 focus areas addressing the following tasks:

1. Analyse potential of marina power distribution hub with smart grid technology.

2. A physical prototype hub will be established to facilitate equipment monitoring and distributing of energy. PV panels are included to supply green energy and to draw attention to the project and a public real time display of hub related energy flows.
 
3. Compilation and dissemination of experiences gathered in the pilot project.

4. Composition of a consortium for development and implementation of Smart Grid functionality to marina power distribution hub and steering box for onboard installation on battery packs.
