Modelling of bio-boilers - 2nd generation co-firing

Results
The project has led to improved understanding of aspects of biomass-coal co-firing .Among other things, on corrosion rates, absorption of gaseous KCl in coal ash, striation and importance of particle size and shape. Furthermore, an improved Nox model was formulated and implemented in a CFD framework.
