Results
More than 500 households with electric heating participated in a demonstration project about demand response. Participants paid for electricity based on spot prices. The groups notified of the next day’s prices by E-mail and/or SMS did not change their demand pattern. The group with automatic control of the electric heating did significantly change their demand pattern. Overall cost savings were up to EUR 500/year - however the majority was due to the type of price contract used in the project. (Energy 10)
