Optimization of distributed CHP-plants in a municipality when participating across both wholesale markets and balancing markets through cooperation and aggregation.
Results
In this project is analyzed selected CHP-plants in the municipality of Ringkøbing-Skjern for how they can participate more optimized in the electricity markets, both the wholesale and balancing markets. In the project is also provided a model of cooperation, which means that the plants together daily can optimize their participation in the electricity markets and thereby together optimize their gains by participating in the electricity markets. The project is innovative in that it creates cooperation between the CHP-plants in the municipality of Ringkøbing-Skjern, so that the project is helping to promote local support for good conditions for the plants and so that the project helps to promote support for local strategic energy planning and the municipals goal of being 100% self-sufficient in renewable energy in 2020.
