A method for producing liquid, gaseous and solid biofuel from the marine algae Ulva lactuca will be developed. Growth conditions of Ulva lactuca will be optimised through laboratory scale growth experiments describing CO2 uptake and possible N2O and CH4 production.

Results
The project will develop a method for production of marine algae - sea lettuce. Growth experiments in the laboratory, but also harvesting, conditioning and the possibility of an integrated production with CHP plants will be tested. In addition, the biomass will be characterized for production on biofuels.
