X-ray analysis of CO2 neutral fuels. Supplementary application to PSO 5075
X-ray analysis is a conditional method usable for characterising biomass and biomass ash. X-ray analysis is a conditional method usable for characterising biomass and biomass ash. The most striking finding is that analysis values for the element silicon deviated consistently and significantly from those in the reference method (ICP-OES) results. The reason for the deviation has not been determined but should be studied in more detail. For the light elements (atomic numbers Z.11) the detection level is relatively high, which increases uncertainty. Results for other aspects show quite good consistency between the reference method and the X-ray methods EDXRF and WDXRF.
