Develop, test and commercialize a new sensor principle for refrigeration system

The aim is to finish, test and spread the knowledge about new possibilities for environmental savings by using HB-Gas Quality sensor combined with different Control Systems. The sensor offers improved control, regulation and monitoring of refrigeration plants with natural with natural and HFC refrigerants with focus on control of evaporators and protection against slugging in compressors.

Project description

The objective is finally developing, test and spread the knowledge about our new designed sensor called HB-WDX Control System. The sensor offer new possibilities for control, regulation and monitoring of refrigeration system with both natural and HFC refrigerants and have focus on effective control of evaporators and protection against slugging in compressors. It offers new possibilities for great environmental and energy savings.
The sensor has been designed and tested during the last year but is yet to be final developed as well as tested in the laboratories at Technological Institute, first during stationary conditions and late in a dynamic evaporator system.
After passed these test and done eventual necessary changes to the sensor design the sensor should be tested and validated in “real” refrigeration plants under real conditions including the experience of some actual users of refrigeration systems.
The different tests and validation will be documented in a report and the experiences of the project will be publish through articles to relevant magazines, through information on exhibitions, eventual thematic sessions on test plants and trough papers for presentation on international refrigeration conferences; IR´s Gustav Lorentzen Conference (International Institute of Ammonia Refrigeration).
