Nordic Built Active Roofs and Facades in Sustainable Renovation
The vision for the project is that” Active roofs and facades” shall develop a strong Nordic connection within the technology field of energy renovation. The project is a Nordic Built project with partners from Sweden, Norway, Island and Finland. Denmark will perform as the project leader.
The idea for the upcoming project is that” Active roofs and facades” shall develop a special strength area in the North within the energy renovation field. By doing so the development toward the future active houses can be based on already positive development work concerning passive house buildings. By being focused on the Nordic Built Charteret (http://www.nordicinnovation.org/nordicbuilt/the-nordic-built-charter/) and the specifications of Active Houses (www.activehouse.info), it will also be possible to document a high level of performance.
In the Danish building company KAB building renovation project “Ellebo” in Ballerup, which represents the Danish part of the international architecture competition Nordic Built Challenge, there is a great interest in the new and better technologies within active roofs and facades. The project partners in Malmø have the same interest and wishes to work with upcoming full scale plants.
Furthermore the project will work with BIPV solutions in interaction with electricity savings and the optimized decenter ventilation in schools in Copenhagen.
