Dynamic topology data in distribution grids
In order to efficiently provide system services to the distribution grid, aggregators of flexible DER units require information about the topology of the grid. This information is currently not available to third parties in real time. The project plans to develop and test an integrated framework for providing such a topology service.
Project description
In order to efficiently provide system services to the distribution grid, aggregators of flexible DER and demand response units require information about the current topology of the grid. This information is currently not available to third parties in real time.Several concepts for the production of real time topology data have been proposed in recent years. Most of these concepts are exclusively concerned with algorithms for the calculation or estimation of the data itself. In order to get to a working system, these algorithms would have to be a part of an integrated framework for data exchange between the actors involved: DSO, aggregator, DER owner, metering provider and possibly others. This project plans to develop and conceptually test such an integrated framework for some of these existing algorithms.
