Smart Energy Networks Partnership - Research, development, demonstration
The public-private partnership Smart Energy Networks will support energy policy goals as well as good and sustainable growth conditions for Danish trades and industries. The partnership will enable optimal exploitation of resources through a strategic planning for Research, Development and Demonstration of integrated and intelligent energysystems.
During the preparation of the roadmap for Smart Grid in DK, the participating organizations and knowledge institutions found it appropriate to continue the cooperation in a public-private partnership in order to bring the planning through the roadmap up to date and to develop it further. The roadmap should be developed and cover the full range of smart energy systems with technologies and solutions that can create basis for a long-term, optimal and balanced development of the overall energy system.
The partnership's activities will be focused on research, development, innovation and demonstration by technologies and solutions within this area. In the cooperation will be included analysis on a wider professional foundation, Smart Energy Networks, which includes all types of energy systems, including the interplay between the electricity system, the natural gas system, the district heating system and the transport system as well as between central and local systems.
The partnership will:
1 Carry out analyses in connection with this planning with the participation of relevant partners.
2 Participate in dialogues with decision-makers in the research- and innovation-system and about conditions for RDD-activities.
3 Create a platform for the co-ordination of the transformation of the planning into specific programs and projects.
4 Compile experiences and promote exchange of experience in a relation to the planning, e.g. through status reports and exchange of experience between on-going RDD-activities and between Danish and international RDD-activities.
