Planning and comprehensive renovation to energy neutral level of government/pubpic areas with multiple buildings - Danish participation in IEA Annex 73
The overarching goal of IEA Annex 73 is to develop guidelines and tools that support the planning of Net Zero Energy Public Communities.
The objectives of IEA Annex 73 are to:
- Assess existing case studies and develop representative building energy benchmarks
- Develop a database of energy utilization indexes (EUI) of public, academic, and armed forces building types
- Develop energy targets: definitions, matrix, monetary values
- Summarize, develop and catalog representative building models by building use type, including mixed-use building, applicable to national public communities/military garrisons building stocks
- Develop guidance for Net Zero Energy Master Planning (NZEMP)
- Develop functional description of the role of modeling tools in the NZEMP process
- Collect and describe business and financial aspects and legal requirements and constraints for NZEMP for public communities in participating countries
- Provide dissemination and training in participating countries for the end users, mainly decision makers, community planners and energy managers and other market partners in the proceedings and work of the Annex subtasks.
Danish participation in and contribution to IEA Annex 73 is important as the outcome of the project may form the basis for a future EU Directive on the energy performance of existing building.
