IEA technology Network -Task 39 Commercializing liquid biofuels og Task 42 Bio-refining in a future bioeconomy
The aim of the project is to strengthen the development of technologies for the production of liquid biofuels and biorefineries by representing Danish stakeholders and active participate in Task 39 and Task 42 networking activities.
The results from the project are increased knowledge sharing about energy technologies, exposure of the Danish technology, coordination, reporting and anchoring of the Danish research and technology in leading international networks.This project is about participation in the International Energy Agency (IEA) technology networks named Commercialization of liquid biofuels (Task 39) and Biorefining in a future bioeconomy (Task 42).
The networks have a global outreach and their purpose is to share ideas and knowledge on emerging technologies and infrastructures, provide an overview of regulation and environmental issues of relevance for the application of biofuel and biorefinery technologies and to provide a common knowledge platform for industry, academia and government. Furthermore, the networks are important for the general work of the International energy Agency as they provide information for their techno-economic reports and analysis.
The Danish participants covers industry and academia and the activities include meetings, workshops, analytical reports and databases on technology facilities.
Denmark has been an active participant in the IEA networks for a number of years and are important for Danish biofuel and biorefinery technologies as they enable an international exposure of Danish knowledge and Danish industries.
In the applied project, the activities include a special focus on dissemination to Danish stakeholders and coordination with other Danish networks under IEA Bioenergy.Key figures
