Project description

IEA Bioenergy Task 40 - Deployment of biobased value chains - Danish representation 2019-2021

IEA Bioenergy Task 40 aims to support the development and design og efficient, economically viable and bankable value chains to enable larger deployment of substainable biomass for energy, but also for biobased products and materials, taking into account food, feed and fibre markets.

As Country Representative for Denmark in Task 40 for 2019-2021, Denmark will gain access to knowledge regarding developments in biobased value chains from other IEA Bioenergy Task 40 member countries. This shall be achieved through participation in Task 40 and via dissemination of the group's results, including redults from the other participating countries. The activity is a continuation of the Danish representation in Task 40 in the 2016-2018 trienium.

The main activities include to:

  • Participate in two annual business meetings and group workshops or conferences
  • Prepare for these business meetings and workshops/conferences
  • Plan, prepare and host a business meeting and workshop in Denmark
  • Report from business meetings and workshops via newsletters, etc. to the Danish network
  • Develop material for the group regarding developments in the Danish deployment of biobased value chains
  • Participate in (and actively contribute to) the group's current activities and projects
