IEA-EBC Annex 81 Participation
The overarching Annex aim is to increase access to low cost high-quality data from buildings and support the development of data-driven energy efficiency ‘Applications’ and analytics. This will enable real time building energy efficiency control optimization and provide energy efficiency data and decision support for building facilities managers.
Project description
IEA-EBC Annex 81 addresses digitalization of the building stock as a mean to improve energy
efficiency and integrate buildings with the energy grids. The outcome of the annex includes, a cloudbased building data platform; a building emulator that enables testing, development and assessment of innovative data-driven building energy management products and services; and innovative data-driven business models for smart buildings. As part of innovative products and services development, the annex analyzes the business ecosystem of smart buildings to explore and review the barriers and incentives, and existing business models for stakeholders’ adoption of Big Data/AI/IoT technology and solutions in smart buildings. The solutions developed in the annex is demonstrated by case studies in the participating countries.Key figures
