IEA Task 66 Subtask C leader
The project aims to lead Subtask C New and existing buildings blocks/communities within the IEA Task 66 project Solar Energy Buildings. The focus of subtask C is on buildings located in district heating areas. The overall aim of the IEA Task 66 project is to develop economical solar energy supply concepts with high solar fractions. For central European climate conditions, the target solar fractions are at least 85% of the heat demand, 100% of the cooling demand, and at least 60% of the electricity requirements for buildings and e-mobility.
The project concerns DTU’s leadership of Subtask C: New and existing buildings blocks/communities within the IEA Task 66 project Solar Energy Buildings. The IEA project duration is from July 2021 to June 2024. The task consists of four subtasks, and Elsabet Nielsen from DTU serves as subtask C leader. The IEA project aims to develop economically attractive solar energy solutions covering the most significant part of the heat demand, the cooling demand, and the electricity consumption of buildings, and subtask C focus on buildings in district heating areas.
