This project is about participation in the International Energy Agency (IEA) technology network named “IEA Bioenergy Task 39 – Commercializing Conventional and Advanced Transport Biofuels from Biomass and Other Renewable Feedstocks”.
The network have a global outreach and their purpose is to share ideas and knowledge on emerging technologies and infrastructures, provide an overview of regulation and environmental issues of relevance for the application of biofuel and biorefinery technologies and to provide a common knowledge platform for industry, academia and government. Furthermore, the network are important for the general work of the International Energy Agency as they provide information for their techno-economic reports and analysis.
The Danish participant represent Danish interests and the activities include meetings, workshops, analytical reports and databases on technology facilities.
Denmark has been an active participant in the IEA Bioenergy task 39 network for a number of years and participation is important for Danish biofuel and biorefinery technologies as it enable an international exposure of Danish knowledge and Danish industries.
In the applied project, the activities include a special focus on dissemination to Danish stakeholders and coordination with other Danish cross sectoral networks.
