The Green Cooking Hood of the future
The project develops a new generation of cooking hoods with high energy efficiency ensuring a good indoor climate with low particle pollution in housing.
The focus is on energy consumption, air flow and pressure losses, ventilation efficiency, air treatment and indoor climate (primarily particles, odor, moisture and sound), sustainability, design and dimensioning
Hoods with recirculation, with fan for exhaust air, and hoods for central systems are included.
The work program includes laboratory-based development. The prototypes are demonstrated in single-family houses and in a multi-storey dwelling. The evaluation includes measured energy consumption (heat and electricity) and measured and experienced indoor climate.
The solutions are expected to be marketed in Denmark, The Nordic Countries and the EU, one year after the completion of the project.
The Next Generation of Green Cooking Hoods is developed in close collaboration between EX-HAUSTO, the Danish Technological Institute and Danish Technical University.
The objective is to develop a new generation of cooking hoods, both energy-efficient and odour efficient. The focus is on energy, indoor climate, sustainability, functional design and dimensioning. The hoods, meeting new and stricter ecodesign requirements, are thus an asset in the green transition and in the improvement of indoor climate in housing.
