BioLens
The aim of the BioLens project is to establish a new standard and platform for digital traceability of guarantees of origins on volumes traded biomethane throughout Europe.
BioLens will result in a platform used to increase the value of biomethane for end-users. Through an intuitive and easy-to-use solution guarantees of origins of biomethane can be viewed by end-users and important information regarding the Green House Gas (GHG) reductions, feedstock used, location, etc. will be readily available through the platform.
For biomethane producers and trading partners, the system will generate added value due to the validity and quality of the guarantees of origin generated by streamlined data management. In addition, the platform will create a basis for optimizing biomass feeding on biogas plants for increased process robustness using production forecasts.
BioLens is divided into several work packages each designed to push and progress the project. Initially, the project will concentrate on defining data and data structures that will be implemented in the solution. An external partner will be hired for the programming tasks, under close collaboration and guidance from the project team.
The launch of the BioLens solution will be implemented directly in the trading business of biomethane through a collaborator to Fremsyn ApS.
