AI-powered Lean Wind Turbine Installation
The overall objective of this project is to further adapt, improve and expand the existing operational tracking technology that Claviate has developed to cover the entire onshore wind turbine installation.
This project is carried out by Claviate in collaboration with Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy (SGRE). In this project Claviate will further develop and enhance their monitoring system to cover onshore wind turbine installations. This includes developing and integrating new hardware (new types of sensors etc.), and carrying out two test campaigns/demonstrations on large SGRE onshore installation projects, as well as developing reporting formats for the data that meets the needs of the project managers.
Learnings from the project will be gathered and translated into optimization of SGRE's work processes. Finally, the system will be prepared for scale-up. The expected result of the project is a fully functioning AI-powered monitoring system for onshore installation projects, complete with co-developed reporting formats, ready to be commercialized by Claviate.
From a commercial perspective the aim is to enable a similar cost reduction (16%) on onshore wind turbine installation as was documented for offshore projects through optimization of the installation process.
