Batbal Active balancing and monitoring ASIC for lifetime enhancement of battery systems
The Batbal project will develop a new generation of battery control and monitoring ASICs by using an innovative combination of 1) Switched Capacitor electrical circuits, 2) high voltage integrated circuits 3) batteries providing parts of the capacitor function. This unique combination leads to orders of magnitude cost reductions of a) active battery balancing and b) advanced battery diagnostics based on electrical impedance spectroscopy (592)
