Demonstration of 1300 kWth - commercial size - gasification plant for CHP production
This project will demonstrate erection and operation of an entire biomass gasification plant for CHP production in the commercial size of 1,300 kWth. In the project a complete commercial size forest wood chip gasification CHP plant will be finally developed in details, erected and put into un-manned CHP operation with sale of heat and electricity to public owned distribution networks. Additionally, the project will demonstrate how capital from private investors can be raised and joined with EUDP funds for the progression of new sustainable energy technology from pilot to commercial stage. The origin of the project is BioSynergis gained experiences from erection and unmanned operation of the complete gasification pilot plant (kicknamed the Castor Plant) which is in a 1/3 size of the by here proposed commercial size demonstration plant. Presently the Castor pilot plant has completed more than 3,400 hours of CHP operation at producer gas at the district heating plant in the town of Græsted
During the project, the first full-scale version (300 kWelectricity/750 kJ/s heat) of BioSynergi's CHP concept will be produced, established and commissioned in an operationally cost-effective size. At the same time, the project will be the vital link that will take BioSynergi's total CHP system from the stage of a development project to a new level as a full-scale commercial CHP system. The project includes third party investor involvement and long-term demonstration operation. The purpose of the long-term demonstration operation will include the identification of critical components and illustrate efficiency-making opportunities for subsequent versions of the concept
Projektet har haft som målsætning at planlægge, detailudvikle procesanlægget og gennemføre etableringen af den første opskalerede udgave af BioSynergi Proces’ trinopdelte bioforgasningsanlæg til kraftvarmeproduktion (1.300 kWth svarende til ca. 300 kWel/750 kJ/s varme), så det efterfølgende var klar til idriftsættelse.
