The objective of this project was to establish a wood-chip gasification system with a rated input of 600 kW. The system is an upgraded version of the Viking two-step gasifier developed at the Technical University of Denmark. The system was installed, and during the installation phase, different considerations concerning design choice were made and experience was gained in connection with the upgrading. The subsequent current project 6325 will commission the system, and identified problems will be solved on an ongoing basis.
