Extrudation pretreatment improving biogas production
Extrusion as a pretreatment of dry biomasses, including deep litter and straw, to increase methane productivity in biogas reactors will be developed and optimised at a biogas plant. A pilot scale extruder will be deployed and a series of test will be carried out. The expected results are 30% higher methane yield and a very positive energy balance.
