HyProvide - HRS »hydrogen refueling for cars«
HyProvide-HRS is to conduct R&D of a hydrogen refueling systems reducing cost and increasing capacity and efficiency of 70MPa Hydrogen Refueling Stations and analyze and plan manufacturing and cost reduction potential. Laboratory test of the refueling system together with hydrogen production is to be performed verifying reaching of targets.
With the HyProvide-HRS project H2 Logic A/S aims to further develop its 700bar Hydrogen Refueling Station (HRS) technology towards reaching commercial market targets, enabling sale of hydrogen as fuel for electric fuel cell passenger vehicles.
Within HyProvide-HRS, targets for capacity, efficiency and cost are to be reached that enables commencing of an early deployment of HRS infrastructure in Europe, specifically Scandinavia and Germany, where market introduction of Fuel Cell Electric (FCEV) are planned around 2015.
For this to happen H2 Logic will use the HyProvide-HRS project to conduct dedicated R&D of a refueling system that is to be configured into a complete HRS system. This is to enable significant increase of daily and instant refueling capacity as well a improved energy efficiency. Also costs are to be reduced.
Laboratory tests are to be conducted of the developed refueling system verifying reaching of the objectives and targets. Specification of a supporting hydrogen production plant together with Greenhydrogen.dk will be conducted and benchmark and evaluation tests conducted.
The HyProvide-HRS project has involved development of new and better components for hydrogen gas stations with the aim of increasing the capacity and reduces the costs:
- Development of simulation models for hydrogen filling, filling system and software which comply with the new revised
- A cooling system and heat exchanger has been developed and optimized to increase capacity during refueling
- The compressor and storage system has been designed, developed and tested in order to achieve increased capacity and reduced costs
- A hydrogen station system platform was developed with the aim of ensuring a more compact construction and the integration of hydrogen production
