Boreholes in Brædstrup - supplementary grant

Implementation of 10,600 m2 solar collectors, 19,000 m3 borehole storage and a heat pump to supply the existing combined heat and power plant in Brædstrup, Denmark

Project description

In the project ''Boreholes in Brædstrup'' a district heating plant combining 10,600 m2 solar thermal collectors, 19,000 m3 borehole storage, 1,5 MWheat heat pump and 5000 m3 accumulation tank will be demonstrated.

The concept shall demonstrate how solar thermal, storage and heat pump in co-operation with an existing natural gas fired combined heat and power plant can utilize fluctuating electricity prices and co-operate with the electricity system.

The project is a pilot project where the intention in the next phase is to extend the system to more than 50,000 m2 of solar collectors covering more than 50% of the yearly heat production in Brædstrup
