Superior Inlet Stratifier

A ground breaking new technology for thermal stratification of solar hot water tanks has been invented December 2013. After only a few prototypes the technology offers competitive thermal performance compared to best products currently on the market. The EUDP aims at developing and demonstrating this superior technology to the market.

Project description

At this stage before initiating the project, an early prototype of the product exists. After only a few versions of the prototype, the technology (referred to as NewTech going forward) has been proven to be highly competitive with the best product on the market. It is expected that the final product at market introduction will be significantly better than all other stratification technologies and that the product will eventually become the market leader.

The main objectives of the present project are to:

  1. Make final prototype development/production maturing of the NewTech
  2. Demonstrate the superior capabilities and characteristics of the Newtech to the market
  3. 3. Create the first customer relationships, as well as make significant exposure of the NewTech to the market

The main objectives are achieved by carrying out the 9 work packages that the project is divided into. The work packages include development of the main components, long-term testing of the durability, comparison to other stratification technologies as well as demonstration at partner´s facilities, feedback and adjustment and finally dissemination and reporting.
