HyBoost »More hydrogen fueling for less«
The HyBoost project is to triple the capacity of 1st gen. 70MPa hydrogen fueling technology from H2 Logic. This will increase capacity of hydrogen refueling stations (HRS) to the level of conventional gasoline stations and enable a significant cost reduction.
The objective of HyBoost is to further develop the fueling technology and achieve the following significant competitive advantages compared to state-of-the-art (SoA) from competing manufacturers:
- Capacity increase of 300% compared to 1st gen. but with similar scope of system hardware
- System footprint reduction of 50% compared to competitors for comparable capacity
- Achieve a price level of 36% below competitors’ level (€/capacity)
Focus in HyBoost will be to develop improved designs for critical components in the fueling system and apply new materials and surface coatings in order to sustain lifetime despite higher operation parameters. As part of HyBoost the developed components are to be assembled into a laboratory prototype system and undergo operation tests to validate achievement of targets and confirm a sufficient lifetime. The goal of HyBoost are to achieve 2nd gen. fueling technology that is ready for H2 Logic to conduct product maturation and implementation in its HRS product portfolio during 2017.
