Demonstration of REnescience full-scale plant -2

The purpose of the project is to demonstrate the REnescience technology in full scale as an integrated part of a total waste processing system including use of the biodegradable part for biogas and the illustration of the remaining parts of the waste for recycling, and to demonstrate the maturity and commercial readiness of the technology.
Project description

The new project application includes work package WP4-6

WP 4: Tenders are invited from suppliers, and the final plant budget and the final overall plant time schedule are prepared. The business case updated and will from the basis of the FID for the project. WP4 is finalised with a stog/go decision about construction of the plant.

WP 5: Construction of the REnesciense plant. The project phase starts with a contracting process based on the chosen contact strategy and the tenders received in WP4, followed by the construction of the building an process plants. A project group focusing on the construction activites is established so that competences, such as QA of supplies and QHSE, are included directly in the project execution.

WP 6: Commissioning, demonstration (including various tests and evaluation of the plant performance, mass balance and the like) and finally reporting.

The location of demonstratiom is in North Western England on a site belonging to the waste company FCC. DONG Energy Thermal Power will own the plant 100% and process waste for FCC.

The capicity of the actuaæ demonstratiom plant is 15 ton of MSW/h.
