International videndeling i forhold til drift, netplanlagning og test af digitale i flexiblitetsløsninger via IEA-ISGAN netværket
The flexibility of electricity consumption and storage is a key factor in enabling a fully renewable electricity supply. This project aims, via IEA-ISGAN, to exchange international experiences on technical solutions and procedures for testing, validation as well as for system planning and new coordination measures between TSO and DSOs for the effective utilization of energy system flexibility.
The flexibility of electricity consumption from individual consumers, commercial and industrial sites has been investigated and proven in a number of research projects, demonstrations and in commercial use. Main challenges include valuing the flexibility in the distribution system and providing a mechanism for integrating flexibility in the operation of the system to enable DSOs to request it and for aggregators to provide it, as well as to introduce new coordination measures between TSO and DSOs so ensure stable and secure operation. The project combines experiences from Denmark in two main areas: i) the Danish experience from exchange mechanisms between stakeholders, including aggregators, DSOs and TSOs, and ii) the experience with technical development, laboratory and field testing as well and the strategies for validation of solution and verification of flexibility service delivery. The Danish experts will collaborate with two ISGAN working groups: WG5 (SIRFN) and WG6 (Transmission and Distribution), assigning two experienced experts to each area. Whereas the collaboration in WG5 is a continuation of a prior funded collaboration, the collaboration with WG6 is a new effort, in an area where Denmark has much experience and Danish contributions based have repeatedly been requested by international partners.
