Multifuel oven and multi-product system - demonstration plant

It has been verified that the Dall Energy Furnace have unique features:
• The furnace will accept biomass fuel with moisture content in range 20% to 60% and still keep the flue gas temperature within ±100 degr.C (for pre-set temperature 9000 degr. C to 9750 degr. C).
• The ash quality from the furnace is very good with no excessive sintering and without carbon in the ash.
• Flue Gas dust content at the furnace exit is below 50 mg/Nm3, while the content of NOX and CO is below 175 mg/Nm3 and 20 mg/Nm3, respectively.

The Dall Energy Furnace
The Dall Energy biomass furnace consists of two separate stages which are combined in a single aggregate: An updraft gasification process and a gas combustion process.
As the furnace is refractory lined and as the furnace can operate at low excess air is it possible to burn bio-mass with water content above 60%.
No mechanical parts are used at temperatures above 2000 degr. C. This provides a very rugged system.
In the gasifier section a combustible gas is produced with a low velocity at the top of the gasifier bed. This gas is combusted to a flue gas with extremely low dust content. Also, the NOX and CO content is very low.
The temperature of the flue gas at the exit is kept stable by injecting water spray together with the secondary air.
