Center for Building Simulation
The project team will execute two workshops with Danish stakeholders and international experts for clarifying the need of a Center for Building Simulation there can contribute to maintain a leading Danish position within energy simulations in buildings. The project will result in a grant application to establish the center.
The project idea is in Denmark to establish a Centre for Intelligent Building Information Modelling that will enable significant better support for decision-making throughout the lifecycle of assets in the built environment. Simulation models for renovation of existing buildings and for design of new buildings inclusive renewable energy systems which fully can cover the energy consumption of the buildings are essential for planners and for the society. It is very important to optimize the whole community through for instance district heating, solar heating plants and smart grid. Present it is not possible to model completely integrated design, where all aspects of the sustainable process are taken into account since in practice there is no direct interaction between the different models.
Two greater proposals have been written in the process for establishing the Centre. Neither of these unfortunately gave any funding for the centre. However the proposals have given a lot of ideas and knowledge in the further process for establishing a centre in Denmark.
