Innovative energy education aiming at achieving behavioural changes

Four different learning platforms are developed to gain a experienced based learning. The four platforms are tested in four classes in Helsingør and Rudersdal municipalities. Statement and behavioural tests are conducted for all students before the lesson plan and after a year and a national research of energy education.

Results

Despite the energy education in the school in different lessons it does not lead to a changed behaviour in their everyday life unless their is a connection between the four domains. None of the platforms are individual enough to secure the energy learning.

The use of this kind of platforms as in this project can contribute with a connection between scientific knowledge and behaviour in everyday life. If there isn't a didactic organisation with clear professional goals with the students use of medias the students do not get a professional insight that is necessary compared to their options and a behavioural change of their energy habbits do not accure.

Despite the processes are very different there are a commonalities that are important for the curriculum. In the best cases it is succeeded with creation of a connection between different semiotic domains, that have been involved. Within these it have been possible to build a bridge between the schools domain, everyday life domain, the scientific domain and the media domain.
