Control of electricity consumption through disconnection
The primary scope of the project was: 1) Establishment of a Demand Respons system, where minor electric customers can be cut off when the price on Nord Pool spot marked is high. 2) Establishment of knowledge regarding the gain the following actors can obtain: the customer, the TSO, the grid company, and the balance responsible. 3) Recommendations for further work. The results of the work showed, that the especially the customers have good economic incentives to be cut off. Also the TSO's gained experience regarding the possibilities of balancing the transmission grid in this different approach. Finally it turned out that the grid company did not have any incentive to have customers to cut-off. Also the balance responsible did not have any present incentive to be able to cut-off customers. In the longer term, the balance responsible will however also have economical incentives to have Demand Response customers. The conclusion of the project is furthermore, that the IT-systems controlling the need for Demand Response is very simple, and very easy for the customers and the TSO to use
