The aim of the project is gathering and successively dissemination of operation experiences with the complete at complete Gasification plant named Castor. As a specific task in the project work will be done in order to accomplish a process and operation optimisation of the drum dryer system, that is a integrated part of the plant.

Results
Project content was process optimization of the wood dryer and retrieval of operational experience with cogeneration from the pilot plant. The drying process was evaluated theoretically. Conclusion was that elimination of air leakages would be the most obviously improvement. Hence, a new fuel inlet and a new fuel inlet lock were developed.
