Wave loads on offshore wind turbines

Institut for Mekanisk Teknologi (DTU Mekanik)
The project deals with improved design methods for wave loads on offshore wind turbines at depths exceeding 15m and the structural response. This is achieved through enhanced utilization of metocean data, CFD modelling of the wave-structure interaction for extreme impacts, coupling with aeroelastic models and validation by physical experiments.
