Energysaving JensenLED SmartTube in intelligent use

JensenLed is going to datacollect, productevaluate and test functionality and energysaving in a
EUDP based project of the JensenLED SmartTube.

Project description

JensenLED is through a 2-year project going to introduce a new type of JensenLED SmartTube solution on the
market. The company has developed a new type of LED tube with metering, motion sensors, interactive
performance and current consumption control / measurement. JensenLED SmartTube contains a new Cloudbased
solution using light and motion sensors , technologies like Internet of Things (IoT), Industry 4.0, and Big
Data are used for intelligent function and lighting control and measurement of energy consumption. JensenLED
bought the patent EP2044362 (B1), translated and registrated patent in more than EU 20 countries for
JensenLED SmartTube. The remaining development enables solutions with new opportunities and unique
methods for saving energy. JensenLED is seeking funds for completion of the pilot project, technology and
production preparations, measurement and evaluation of savings potential, market style direction and various
stress- and technology-test in laboratory and industrial environment. JensenLED SmartTube is stress and function
tested in cooperation with the testing company in identical environments as regular LED tubes in order to analyze
functionality, saving potential. Implementation of the pilot project, various test measurements demonstrations and
data collection will be carried out in an interdisciplinary collaboration between JensenLED, DTU Photonics
(University) and Belodan A/S (Customer). The product is tested in an enterprise environment to measure and
evaluate the incoming data and to demonstrate / enhance interface, functionality and usability of the newly
developed product. The Intelligent tubes tested concurrently with standard LED solutions for similar
environments to evaluate the consumption effects, modifications and influences. Belodan provides testing and
measuring possibilities of conventional LED tubes and JensenLED SmartTube in the same production facilities
and working environment to test and measure the effects and functionality and energy saving.The application
aims to implement a pilot project in laboratory and industrial environment in order to improve market fit, test and
improve functionality, document the savings potential and demonstrate the functionalities of JensenLED Smart
Tube. Activities and results are shared and disseminated to distributors, industry associations, business partners
and other stakeholders. The project results are published and shared regularly through print and digital media,
through industry organizations, knowledge institutions and networks activity.
